The Free Trade Times Center project is located in the Qianhai Free Trade Area in Shenzhen, with a total construction area of approximately 500,000 square meters. It is the first super high-rise complex near the subway with the design concept of a "miniature city" in the Greater Bay Area. Upon completion, it will become a new urban landmark in the Mawan area, supporting the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area.

The project is undertaken by China Construction First Division Group South China Branch, with a focus on creating an intelligent construction demonstration project in Guangdong Province, emphasizing lean construction. That is, with the principle of "practical and pragmatic," the project will be crafted into a premium engineering project in Qianhai.

Our company is responsible for constructing the climbing frame part of the project. The T1 tower has 56 floors with a tower height of 249.5 meters. The T2 tower has 53 floors with a tower height of 243 meters.

Project difficulties:

The T1 tower of the project involves a change in floor height, from 4.4 meters to 3.6 meters. It requires the use of a 19.5-meter frame in the early stage. When the floor height changes, it needs to be converted to an 18-meter frame at high altitude.

At the same time, there are three structural changes in the T1 tower and two structural changes in the T2 tower. Both require the frame to be dismantled, modified, sectioned, and reassembled into a retracted structure frame when climbing at high altitude, which increases the construction time to a certain extent. The difficulty and complexity of the entire project also pose higher requirements for Lingchuang’s construction capabilities.

The project design consists of multiple flat and long volumes stacked on top of each other, with the height gradually decreasing from the center outward to form two towers.

The two towers are connected by an air bridge in the high area, with a base elevation of approximately 157 meters. After completion, it will become the highest air bridge in Shenzhen. During construction, Lingchuang needed to use triangular steel columns for climbing, which presents certain challenges in capability, difficulty, and security risk management.

The project is currently in progress, and Lingchuang will strive for excellence to help the project become an urban landmark in the Mawan area and a high-quality benchmark project in the Greater Bay Area!
